上世纪七十年代曾经名噪一时的Roxy Music乐队诞生了两位对流行乐坛具有长久影响的人物，一位是环境音乐大师、实验摇滚乐的开拓者Brian Eno，而另一位则是Bryan Ferry。Ferry是Roxy Music的创建者、主唱歌手、歌曲作者和核心人物。他的许多个人作品都流露出怀旧气氛，精致细腻的音乐编排渲染出一种奇异的浪漫，令人置身于迷幻境界中。《Frantic》是Ferry继1996年《Mamouna》之后的全新专辑。在2001年Roxy Music重组的巡回演唱会上，这支老乐队再现往日的激情，而Ferry的这张新作则是他六年后再度冲击乐坛的见证。Bryan Ferry与往日的队友Brian Eno共同制作了几首歌曲，Radiohead乐队的Jonny Greenwood在“Hiroshima”中担任了吉他伴奏。Eurythmics乐队的Dave Stewart与Ferry合作了四首歌曲。新专辑中Bryan Ferry仍然保留了怀旧的氛围，他翻唱了Bob Dylan的“It’s All Over Now，Baby Blue”和“Don’t Think Twice”，在后一首中Ferry担任了钢琴伴奏并吹起了口琴。翻唱Leadbelly的“Goodnight Irene”和Don Nix的经典布鲁斯作品“Goin’ Down”同样是专辑中的经典之作。现，这个六十岁的老人，对生命仍然充满好奇、十分愿意继续和世界缠斗下去。 |
